12-week Artist’s Way group

Start the new year strong by investing in your creativity.

The Artist’s Way is considered the seminal program for developing and nurturing your inner artist. For more than 25 years Julia Cameron’s book has been embraced by artists, writers, musicians, and aspiring creators of all kinds looking to find and hone their artistic voice.

This group was designed to support folks as they work though the 12 weeks of exercises. By joining, you’ll have a built-in system of accountability and a sounding board to help you navigate the program. In accordance with Cameron’s model of “creative clusters” the group will meet for two hours each week and will be capped at 8 people. Together over Zoom we will discuss progress, challenges, and breakthroughs. Led by an expert facilitator and Artist Way devotee, the group adds a layer of structure that will supplement and deepen the process for all participants.

What you’ll get

  • Built-in accountability and a consistent space to check-in on your progress.

  • 7 supportive group-mates to offer ideas, inspiration, and to help you work through any challenges that come up.

  • Structured facilitation for processing the week’s exercises.

  • Motivation to continue nurturing your inner artist even (and especially when) life starts to get in the way.

  • A group leader keenly focused on the safety, accessibility, and inclusion of all members.

  • Flexibility - no dogma here! We trust that you know you best. Make the book (and the group) work for you.

Meet the Facilitator

Hi! I’m Kaitlin Maud-Moon. I am a mixed media artist based in Austin, TX. As a researcher, teacher, and coach I have been leading in-person and online groups of various shapes and sizes for the past 10+ years. My most recent art-based groups have been with tweens and artists with disabilities. Now I am excited to support folks through The Artist’s Way!

I was first introduced to the The Artist’s Way in 2011 and I have attempted and completed the program many times since. I discover something new about myself and my art every time I open the book. My approach to facilitating this program will be gentle and adaptive, because I believe that the biggest opportunities can be found in the places where we encounter resistance.

I did my coaching training through Co-Active and see my role as creating accountability, helping to question/ reframe/ challenge, and holding the intention of the group. If you have any questions or hesitations, feel free to contact me!
